ZatzWorks is helping walrus scientists assess the size and composition of Alaska’s walrus population.  Using our Cineflex from over 3000′, we are capturing images that allow researchers not only to count walrus, but also determine the composition (males,females, calves) of the population.  Our Cineflex provides unmatched resolution of the animals- even better than NOAA’s latest digital camera system- simply because the optical power of the stabilized lens is far superior to the digital magnification of other systems.   Why is this important?  Because we can help monitor and count wildlife without any disruption- even with sensitive species like walrus.  The walrus picture shown here was captured at 60 frames per second from an altitude of over  3300′!
